Our wigwam holiday

Dear Tehidy Holiday Park

We have recently spent a week in Heligan Wigwam, myself, my husband and our children aged 11 and 9.  We were all very excited about spending a week at Tehidy Holiday Park and especially in a Wigwam,  Previously we had a 2 birth touring caravan, where the adults slept in the awning and the children in the caravan but we sold this to buy a bigger caravan but never found one we liked so a Wigwam holiday was a totally new experience for us.

As the time got nearer to the holiday I was slightly panicking as what if the wigwam is really small and not big enough for our family? and How are we all going to cope in one space? and are Wigwam holiday’s really only designed for young families with children under a certain age?  I did worry with having older children if it would suit us.  WELL I DID NOT NEED TO WORRY, the Wigwam was of amble size, even with all the beds made up there was plenty of room for all of us, the change from daytime accommodation to night time accommodation was easy and completed in minutes.  The facilities inside the wigwam were perfect, we also took a travel barbeque, toaster and George Foreman Health Grill and we successfully coped with breakfast, dinner and tea!  The freezer compartment was ideal for storing ice cream for dessert.  It was really nice having our own outside space with a picnic bench and BBQ, I even managed to do my washing and line dry it on our travel washing line.

Richard at Tehidy was very knowledgeable from how long the washing machine cycle takes to where to buy the best lobster and which boat trips to take to see seals and dolphins.  I am sure you could ask Richard anything and if he did not instantly know the answer he would research and let you know.  Richard was very approachable and friendly.

Tehidy Holiday Park was spotless, and well maintained, I never saw any litter or anything out of place and the onsite facilities were fantastic and just what you needed for a superb holiday park.  My children loved the play park and all the children, young and old played nicely together.

All the other campers were friendly and gracious to the other campers.  A superb holiday park obviously attracts superb campers!

We will definitely visit Tehidy again, maybe next time in our own touring caravan or we will definitely love to use the Wigwam once more.
