Poldark series 2 delayed… but you can still visit the film locations

The long-awaited release of the second series of Poldark, which so impressively showcased the beauty of Cornwall in early 2015, has been pushed back.It is understood that it will now not be broadcast until Autumn 2016, dashing the hopes of the adorning Ross Poldark fans!

It means that it will be more than a year after the dramatic end of the first series before we all get another chance to critique Ross’ scything action! However, it is believed that a third series is all but guaranteed and the second will also have two more episodes than the first series.
According to theweek.co.uk, a source said: “Autumn is the season for the strongest drama and more time was needed to complete the extended run. The decision to show Poldark alongside other prestige dramas indicates that the BBC now considers the programme one of its most valuable assets.”

Leading man Aiden Turner, aka Ross Poldark, who set millions of hearts fluttering with his character’s frequent bouts of partial nudity, told The Sun at the National Television Awards, at which he won the Impact Award, said the third series was due to start filming in September.

But, if you can’t wait that long for a taste of Poldark then, why not visit all the film locations? Stay at our holiday park and visit all those breathtaking places, from Botallack to Charlestown.
