Cornwalls Indian Summer

Cornwalls Indian Summer – It’s official the long , warm dry spell that Cornwall has been enjoying since June continues into October which means we are having an Indian Summer. There’s an Autumn chill in the morning but nothing to upset the wardrobe, just keep the shorts and T shirts handy and you’ll be fine. Many of the plants putting on a second bloom and the leaves are turning, it looks wonderful. Two top places to see the leaves turn are:-

Tehidy Country Park – with many miles of colour coded paths and cycle routes, the mixed woodland looks wonderful in the autumn, especially around the streams and lakes area. Head down to Otters Bridge for a autumnal show and a lovely walk.

Trelissick Gardens – along the estuary through beautiful ancient oak woodland that clings to the valley sides and gives wonderful views of the waters below. Follow the path round to the fort and quay for an extra leg.
