Autumn in Cornwall

Autumn in Cornwall

it is beautiful with fewer people and warmer seas. The ocean warms during the summer and the warmest it gets to is Autumn and early Winter. The weather can be….well Autumnal. Sunny, glorious days and wet and windy days. The sunsets can be absolutely spectacular. Lovely to sit on the beach, with a piping hot bag of fish and chips, watching the drama unfold… No thats not me pinching a chip from Julia, I mean the sunset. Apples are being picked and as usual we take ours to the local Horticultural charity at Keheland for juicing. Cookers are left in a trug outside reception for neighbours, guests and walkers to help themselves.

Of course there’s plenty of activities and fun things going on too. The Rogue Theatre are set up in a clearing, in a woodland clearing at the Country Park for a family friendly show, Eden Project have Spooky events, Sea Shanty festivals, Music festivals, a lot of lovely local events at Heligan, Trebah and some amazing coastal walking.

Autumn in Cornwall is so special.
