Dan Barnes, surfing at Porthtowan Beach, waiting for a wave, when a pod of dolphins decided to keep him company. The pod came right up to him to have a good look. When Dan got into the beach the smile on his face said it all – not just the good wave.

Sightings od dolphins, porpoise, basking shark, sunfish and much more are regular along the Cornish Coast, the rich marine life is due to the clean waters and shoals of fish. Cornwall has one of the best marine habitats in Europe. High tide is often a good time to spot some 0f these amazing animals, as they follow the fish, who follow the plankton, into the bays at this time so are closer in and easier to see.
